Mahmoud Munaand Matthew Teller join the Edinburgh International Book Festival to discuss Daybreak in Gaza, an anthology they have co-edited which illuminates in vivid detail the extraordinary individuals, meaningful places and incredible richness of a people, culture and heritage undergoing traumatic devastation. Through vignettes of writers and artists, but also farmers, doctors, students, athletes, shopkeepers and teachers, Daybreak in Gaza offers unforgettable stories of hope, life, loss, and survival and of communities determined to resist and prevail. This is Gaza, evoked by the voices of the people of Gaza themselves. Chaired by Selma Dabbagh.

The Edinburgh International Book Festival is a world-leading festival of words, literature and ideas.

Every August they celebrate the written word, bringing together over 600 events with the most exciting writers and thinkers on the planet to ignite imaginations, foster human connection and challenge the status quo.
