Norbert Schiller, an American-born Austrian, has been one of the most prolific Middle East news photographers in the last 25 years. His main work has been for AFP, AP, EPA, The New York Times,/I>, Getty Images, and Der Spiegel. He has covered conflicts in Algeria, Chad, Eritrea, Iraq, Israel, Kurdistan, Lebanon, Libya, the Palestinian Territories, the Persian Gulf, Somali, Sudan, and Western Sahara. His wine books include Wines of Lebanon (Saqi Books) and Chateau Ksara. His others books include Spectacular Egypt and Be Thou There: The Holy Family’s Journey in Egypt.
