Ghada Karmi

Ghada Karmi is a prominent Palestinian activist, academic and writer, born in Jerusalem in 1939 and forced into exile during the 1948 Nakba. She trained as a doctor and has a PhD in the history of Arabic medicine. Karmi’s influential writing includes her memoirs, In Search of Fatima and Return.
